From a researcher’s perspective, it is especially important to know if you have your video data stored in any kind of system where you are not in control, e.g. being able to delete, provide access or similar. And if yes, have to put somebody else in control, e.g. based on terms for a given service. The main goal is to prevent data that is not governed according to your obligations, or cases with orphan data in systems, where nobody has the rights to decide what to do with data.
